FAQs
-
What is therapy like?
Therapy is entirely up to you – if you have something specific you’d like to discuss, we’ll start there. If you are looking for broader support, we’ll have a chat about your concerns, goals and needs, and make a plan to move ahead.
-
What type of therapy do you use?
In my practice, I base my work on a person-centred approach, with integrated theoretical approaches dependent on the client including CBT, CBT, ACT, and SFBT. I am also trained in trauma-informed practice and coaching.
-
Do you do in-person sessions?
Telehealth sessions are our preferred session type at this stage, although there are some alternative options available if needed. Let’s get started with an online session first, and then discuss where to go!
-
Can I claim the sessions on Medicare or with Private Health?
Unfortunately, counselling is not under Medicare mental health care plans as of yet (although this may change soon!) and the practice does not currently accept Private Health rebates. However, sessions are priced the same as or less than most psychologist’s gap fees, and I don’t currently have a waitlist!
-
Do you take NDIS clients?
Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants can utilise their plan funding package to access psychological support.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations within 24-48 hours: 50% fee; within 24 hours or non-attendance: full fee. Please note that if you are late to your appointment, the session will only commence if you are no more than 15 minutes late. After 15 minutes, this will count as non-attendance and the session will then be cancelled with the applicable non-attendance charge of your full standard consultation fee.
